Psychotherapy:
I view psychotherapy as a collaborative effort to help you better understand your own mind. However, conscious understanding only goes so far. There is a deeper bodily-based, unconscious understanding of oneself that must occur before lasting change can take place. This deep emotional understanding happens within the context of an attuned, safe relationship, one that we will develop together in therapy.
Testing:
Psychodiagnostic testing is designed to help pinpoint issues of difficulty in one's life. These difficulties can arise across multiple domains including psychological, attentional, educational, cognitive, or neuropsychological. Through the administration and assessment of validated testing instruments, problems can often be isolated and treatment can then begin to be focused in those areas.
